Transition, meaning the process or a period of changing from one state or condition to another.

The Helter-skelter in David’s artwork has become an established metaphor for childhood, and this painting is about the transition from child to adult.

Swaying cornfields evoke memories of long, hot, endless summers and carefree youth, whilst the pattern carved into the cornfield brings to mind family values in the form of a family tree.

The slow ascent of the balloon, made from the same cloth as the helter-skelters, symbolises the child spreading their wings.

This original, ready-to-hang piece is painted on MDF board and has been varnished and personally signed by the artist, David Bennison. This painting is supplied unframed, and shipping costs to the UK are included.
